In his book “The Travelers Gift “Andy Andrews points out that one of the keys to success in any endeavor is to have a servant’s spirit. This is a paramount requirement to have as one builds one’s team in any online business model.
This is what I have encountered in my relationship with my own sponsor as a newbie and has given me a great deal of confidence that with her guidance, this program will work. While the system that the founders of our company have built is extremely comprehensive, the personal attention to detail and concern to my needs exhibited by my sponsor is a perfect complement to that original system. This is what I mean when I talk of the servant spirit.
I certainly don’t expect that she will do the work required of me, only to point me in the right direction or correct me when I occasionally veer off course. For my part I have the responsibility to do my own research and to work things out by using the company’s extensive back-office to the fullest extent and only when I appear to be stuck, then and only then, should I feel free to go to her for advice. Obviously this would be in addition to the ongoing regular contacts which are largely for encouragement purposes.
I am not blind to the fact that there is a mutual benefit in assisting folks in one’s team but having a positive approach and being available when required can avoid strained relationships which could be extremely counterproductive.
Sponsors in this type of business have to be role models for their teams at all levels to ensure the continuity of business success and to further assure that the possibility of residual income streams becomes a reality, again at all levels.
